EndemolShine Boomdog is celebrating the successful conclusion of MasterChef México 24/7, which marked a milestone for the Banijay Entertainment format as the world’s first live 24/7 version of MasterChef.

MasterChef México 24/7 premiered simultaneously on TV Azteca and Disney+ on May 17 and concluded with a grand finale on Sunday, August 30. Throughout the season, the show reached 64 million viewers, while seven in 10 Mexican households followed the series week after week, according to HR Media data reported by ACAM.

MasterChef 24/7 also delivered outstanding digital results, generating 2.3 billion impressions and more than 51 million interactions across MasterChef México’s social media platforms.
“We are thrilled with the results of the world’s first live 24/7 version of MasterChef and, above all, proud that Mexico was the country that brought it to life. The response from Mexican audiences and the trust of our partners, TV Azteca and Disney+, were key to the project’s success,” said Frank Scheuermann, Chief Content Officer at EndemolShine Boomdog.

“It was a major challenge for everyone involved, and we are incredibly proud to see how audiences embraced this new model, connected with the contestants and immersed themselves even further in the world of MasterChef. We wanted to bring viewers closer to the culinary process without losing the essence or excitement of the competition, and we believe we achieved that,” he added.

Distributed internationally by Banijay Entertainment, MasterChef is recognised by Guinness World Records as the world’s most successful cookery television format. With more than 70 local adaptations and over 700 seasons produced, the franchise continues to demonstrate its strength, adaptability and cultural relevance across markets. This Mexican edition opens a new avenue for expanding the format into an always-on, multiplatform ecosystem.

Produced by EndemolShine Boomdog, MasterChef México premiered on TV Azteca in 2015 and remains a leading title in the market. Created by Franc Roddam and first launched in the United Kingdom in 1990, MasterChef has been produced in more than 70 markets, broadcast in over 200 territories and watched by more than one billion viewers worldwide. The brand continues to expand its content portfolio with new versions, including MasterChef Creators in Brazil, as well as a wide range of consumer products and live experiences, reinforcing the franchise’s long-term strength and value.
