C21\u2019s Content Americas and a shifting market<\/strong>
\nRegarding the company\u2019s presence at Content Americas, Zapata noted: \u201cWe\u2019re here to reconnect with clients and partners, showcase the projects we have in development, and explore different business models.\u201d
\nThe executive acknowledges that the industry is going through a unique moment: \u201cPerhaps the only constant in the content industry right now is that it is in a state of constant change.\u201d For that reason, he explains, the company is approaching business models \u201cwith the same creativity we bring to storytelling, seeking structures that benefit the client, us, our partners, and the audience as well.\u201d<\/p>\n

Film and emerging formats<\/strong>
\nThat vision translates into an expansion of formats. \u201cIn addition to traditional series, we\u2019re beginning to move into film\u2014both fiction and documentary\u2014and we\u2019re also exploring new emerging formats, such as vertical microdramas,\u201d he adds.
\nZapata links this openness to his own professional background: \u201cI come from a career where film has been very important, and it was exciting to bring that experience into the company\u2014something that is already part of Endemol Shine Boomdog\u2019s creative DNA.\u201d
\nThe rationale behind this strategy is to create more vehicles for storytelling. \u201cWe\u2019re no longer focused solely on series; we\u2019re adapting to how the industry is evolving and broadening the range of formats to connect with audiences.\u201d<\/p>\n

A creative alliance on three fronts<\/strong>
\nZapata highlights the alliance with Leonardo Padr\u00f3n, initiated late last summer, as one of the key strategic pillars at present. \u201cWitnessing the incredible talent he brings to storytelling has been a privilege.\u201d
\nAccording to Zapata, the collaboration is structured around three lines: \u201cFirst, bringing Leo\u2019s new original ideas to life. Second, leveraging his supervision and mentorship to develop stories from new authorial voices. And third, modernizing and adapting some of his most iconic works for today\u2019s market, including markets beyond Latin America.\u201d
\nHe emphasizes the breadth of the partnership: \u201cIt\u2019s an alliance that covers absolutely everything\u2014new original projects, third-party ideas that interest us, and part of his most representative catalog.\u201d<\/p>\n

IP, books, and original content<\/strong>
\nBeyond this collaboration, A F\u00e1brica continues to develop additional intellectual properties. \u201cWithin the company\u2019s slate, we\u2019re working on IP based on books, other types of intellectual property, and original content,\u201d he notes, confirming a diversification strategy aimed at reducing risk and expanding opportunities for international sales.<\/p>\n
